Over the past number of months, local start-up companies had the chance to work with students from Canadore College’s graphic design program to expand their online presence.
Photography, video footage and editing of the North Bay Battalion captured by Canadore College Graphic Design student Emily Cowie. Emily has been an active photographer of the Battalion since she started as a student. It takes skill, patients and talent to capture such a high paced action. Her photos show it.
Congratulations to Graphic Design student Amanda Wall on her redesign of the Panther Radio logo. The new design can be seen throughout the radio program and on www.thepanther.ca
3rd year design students were given the opportunity to work with Highlander Brew Co. in designing beer labels for their products. Matthew Dubuc (marketing/PR) was on site to offer students a thoughtfully brewed gift for their hard work and dedication. Leasa Dowdall and Jessica Stevens designs were chosen for the product labels.
There was a great turn out at this years Graphic Design showcase which was held at the Capital Centre. The Graphic Design student put on a wonderful show displaying their amazing designs and creations. Feedback from family, faculty, students and industry professionals has been extremely positive. Thank you for all your hard work.

Canadore College Graphic Design students had the honour of being the official photographers of the 2015 Special Olympics held in North Bay Ontario. It was an amazing event from start to finish. Thank you so much to our students for all their hard work and congratulations to all the athletes on their accomplishments.
Local tattoo artists James and Caleb of Dead City Studio North Bay came up to Canadore College visit the first year graphic designers. They shared their experiences and told some stories about the highly fascinating industry. Later in the session they provided some design advice and critiqued the students designs.
