RGD Grad Award goes to Whisper Gillespie

The Graphic Design Faculty has chosen Whisper for her Creativity and Proven Success in the Program

Congratulations to Whisper for receiving the 2020 RGD Grad Award. Each year, RGD defers to our program faculty to select a winner for the award from our graduating cohort. As part of the award, Whisper receives a Provisional RGD Membership for the remainder of this year and all of 2021, a $225 value.

Provisional RGD Membership is the category for graduates of a graphic design program and is the next step to becoming a fully Certified RGD. Provisional RGD Membership connects to a community of like-minded professionals and provides access to professional development, resources, and a vibrant exchange of information. RGD presents a unified, credible voice as we work together to raise awareness of the value of design.

Whisper plans to leverage the RGD events and conferences, such as Design Thinkers 2020, that are discounted or comped as part of her extended membership award. She looks forward to leveraging her extended RGD membership to get and give advice and ideas from other talented and successful graphic designers in the RGD community.

Whisper recently won a full-time position with a local gym as an in-house graphic designer. She is also a freelance designer and talented photographer for weddings, engagements, children, newborns, and much more.

All Canadore College Graphic Design Program students receive a Student RGD Membership for the duration of their schooling included with the tuition fees.
